These limited edition Poreo Chokers are my take on what I learned in the Toamotu islands in French Polynesia in the summer of 2022. The shells go through a lengthy process of being collected, cleaned and made ready for jewels. The holes are made by hang using jewelry picks. After some searching, I was fortunate enough to learn from the women there. They were kind and generous enough to teach me their craft. I hope that through these jewels you are introduced a world of incredible art and culture of the Polynesians and can support local artisans and their work as well. 
 
The shells were directly purchased from the locals. Because of their limited quantity, each jewelry is made to order and any future updates on the continuation of this series will be informed beforehand.
